The first edition of this book came out in 2011, soon after the announcement of the new syllabus by the UPSC. However, we are happy that what we covered in the first edition was exactly what UPSC covered in the first ever exam held in June 2011, according to the new syllabus.
You must be remembering that, JTS Institute was the first institute in India which published 2 model question papers based on the new syllabus- that too within one week of the release of the new syllabus by the UPSC.
